Upgrades

For best results, you’ll have to remove your old skins. We recommend you back them up if you made any changes to the skin’s html context. Do as follows when you’re ready:

  • Go to Host (tab)-> Skins
  • Select to “Restore Default Skins”
  • Now Select “CA-Portal” from the drop down and browse to the bottom of the container. You’ll see “Delete Skin Package” click on it.
  • Now go to Host (tab) -> Module Definitions
  • Click the on [Skin Objects]
  • Find “SSI_SKIPTO” and click its icon.
  • The next screen loads information about this object, we’re going to delete it by clicking the “Delete” icon.
  • Browse to the bottom now and Find “SSI_TOTOP” and click its icon. Delete it as well.
  • You’ll now install the new SkipTo/ToTop modules. Open the CA skin deployment package. We’ll be importing some of these.
  • In your browser, go to Host (tab) -> Module Definitions and click on the ”Install New Module” link.
  • Select to add the new_SkipTo.zip file from the modules directory and click on the “Install New Module” link.
  • You’ll also need to add the new_ToTop.zip deployment.
  • At this point, we’re ready to add the new skins and containers.
    • To add the containers: go to Host-> Skins and select "Upload Container" (at the very bottom in the default look and feel). Our deployment only provides one file.
    • After validating has completed, return to the skins page and add the Skin from the "Portal[Skin]" directory by selecting to "Upload Skin".
    • Now select CA-Portal from the Skins drop down and set your preferred skin.
    • Browse down and select your default container.
